Universitas Hasanuddin is well known with its multi-talented students. There are 30 Student Support Units in various fields such as arts, sports, and science which monitored by Vice Rector for Student and Alumni Affairs.

Student Support Units presents achievement not only in national level but also internationally. Some co-curricular activities in faculty also supports students in improving their skills in English, Literature, and Research. Faculty of Cultural Sciences students, particularly English Literature Study Program actively participate in English Club, English Debate Club, UKM Menulis FIB, and Student Creativity Program.

Moreover, students are also supported by non-academic organization namely KOSASTER (Kelompok Studi Seni Sastra dan Teater), CARITAS (Komunitas Musik), EDELWEIS (Pecinta Alam), and Al-Adab FIB-UH (Lembaga Dakwah). Student’s skill in leading and participating in organization is trained in BEM FIB-UH and PERISAI (Perhimpunan Mahasiswa Sastra Inggris) FIB-UH.

Some annual competitions are joined by English Literature Study Program students, such as Pilmapres (Pemilihan Mahasiswa Berprestasi).

ELSP students won Pilmapres in 2018 and 2019. Beside Pilmapres, ELSP students also won art competition, photography competition, and Model of United Nations. These students’ achievements are published in ELSP social media.
