Welcome to the website of the English Literature Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Hasanuddin University. This website is provided to ensure the availability and accessibility of information regarding educational events and services for the entire academic community of the English Department in particular and to the Faculty of Cultural Sciences and Hasanuddin University in general.

The English Department was officially established on December 3rd, 1960 with a current enrolment of about 503 students in 2018. As many as 32 teaching staff with varied overseas educational backgrounds have been involved and strengthened the department in catering for the mission to produce highly qualified graduates both in English/ Linguistics and Literature.

With the rapid development of information and technology, the necessity of a website is becoming evident for making such a demanding vision come true. As head of the English Department, I support and appreciate the launch of this website, and hopefully, this will make the academic events and services become easily accessible not only to the campus community itself but also to the outside stakeholders.
